FAQ
1. How do we book you?
Once you’re ready, you can book directly through my website. After booking, I’ll send over a quick questionnaire, payment information, and all the details to get started on your ceremony!
2. How far in advance should we book?
As soon as you have your date! Popular dates, especially ones in the spring and fall, tend to book up quickly.
3. Do you require a deposit?
A non-refundable retainer is required to reserve your ceremony date. If you need to cancel more than 48 hours before your ceremony, any payments made beyond the retainer will be refunded.
Cancellations made within 48 hours of the ceremony are non-refundable.
If you need to reschedule, your retainer may be applied to a new date within 12 months, subject to availability.
4. Do you travel?
Yes! I am happy to travel. The first hour from Joplin is on me, then I charge $25 per additional hour traveled.
5. Do you attend rehearsals?
Yes, for an extra fee. Rehearsal attendance for ceremonies within one hour of Joplin is an additional $100. Rehearsal attendance for ceremonies greater than one hour from Joplin is an additional $200. Rehearsal attendance includes extra time, travel, and sometimes overnight lodging. Thanks for being understanding!
6. When do you arrive?
I typically arrive 30 minutes before the ceremony to connect with you, coordinate with vendors, and make sure everything is ready to go. However, I can adjust to fit your timeline.
7. Can we include religious or spiritual elements?
Of course. You deserve for your ceremony to represent exactly who you are.
8. Do you help with vows?
Yes! I am happy to provide consultations to assist you with writing your own vows. These consultations are an additional $50.
9. Do you file the marriage license for us?
Yes, I'll take care of filling out the license, guiding the witnesses through their signatures, and signing it myself. I also take care of filing after the ceremony. If your county requires the license to be returned by the couple, we will follow those guidelines.
